A woman who was racially abused by a group of three men was assaulted when she tried to confront them after a night out, police say.
The victim, dressed in a short dress and thigh-high boots, was captured on CCTV clutching her face as she staggered away from the attack.
Seconds later, a group of men appear in the footage. One can be seen fighting with another man, believed to be the woman’s boyfriend.
The woman was left with fractures to her cheekbone and nose following the alleged assault, which occurred as she walked home with her partner.
In the footage, security officers can be seen rushing forward and breaking up the fight between the men.
The incident took place in the early hours of December 11 last year near the Skydome in Coventry.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said the woman was heading home when three men shouted a racist comment at her.
He said: “A 34-year-old woman was walking home from a night out with her partner when a group of three men shouted a racist comment at her.
“When she tried to confront them she was assaulted and sustained fractures to her nose and cheekbone.
